The Central Weather Bureau officially declared the start of autumn in early September,

and the combined effect of autumn typhoons and the northeast monsoon brought heavy rainfall across many regions!!

Both Kaohsiung and Kenting were hit with torrential downpours —

and underwater visibility dropped to a dreadful 50 cm!

I had already made plans back in mid-August with Director Lai of Longjing Diving to go diving together —

and for two whole weeks I was worried that the weather might ruin this Kenting trip.

Luckily, on the very day we headed south, heavy rain started falling in Taipei while the southern regions gradually cleared up! (Looks like we really did flee south to escape the rain.)

We set off at 5 p.m. on Thursday and drove straight south without a hitch — arriving at Nanwan in just five and a half hours!!

Longjing Diving Resort is located along Provincial Highway 26 between Hengchun and Kenting,

right at the center point of three tourist destinations — Kenting, Houbihu Fishing Harbor, and Hengchun — and just a two-minute drive from the beautiful Nanwan Beach.

There's a bus stop right next door, so you can easily get here by public bus or the Kenting Express.

Key tip: It's only a three-minute walk to 7-Eleven!!!

If you're driving yourself, there are also dozens of parking spaces available!

Kenting Longjing Resort passed the PADI (certification agency) Five Star Instructor Development Dive Resort certification in November 2014;

earning the IDDR (formerly Gold Palm Instructor Development Resort) designation as a PADI (certification agency) Five Star Instructor Development Dive Resort.

Drawing on years of accumulated experience, we also regularly provide professional contracted training services for university departments and clubs, fire departments, rescue organizations, and more.

Director Lai, the owner, first encountered the ocean at the age of 15 or 16, and at just 29 years old he has already earned his PADI (certification agency) Course Director qualification!

You can really feel his love for the ocean and his passion for teaching.

Unfortunately, he was away taking students to Xiaoliuqiu that day, so we didn't get to meet him — (We'll have to get a photo together next time!!)

Sister Zhang is a very outgoing and personable person. That afternoon at lunch in the Longjing Restaurant, she introduced us to all the dishes and told us about the resort!

From our conversation, it was clear that she cares for her staff as if they were her own children —

she even cooks extra food and snacks for the instructors and guests at the shop.

The warmth they share is just like family.

Growing together as a team and lifting each other up — Sister Zhang's management philosophy is truly admirable.

A great boss with genuine human warmth is what cultivates outstanding team members!

You could feel the camaraderie and chemistry among the instructors just from watching how they interact.

Options include a six-person room, four-person room, double room, and a newly renovated single capsule pod.

There's also a ventilated exterior window — you can open it after a shower to let the steam escape.

Best suited for solo travelers or those looking for a more budget-friendly option.

Air conditioning is included, so it won't feel stuffy!
