We started planning a long-awaited overseas dive trip at the end of 2022 —
but before we even set foot on a tropical island to enjoy a relaxing diving holiday,
how many hilariously unexpected moments would a group of out-of-practice travelers manage to stumble into?
Diving into Pamilacan Island
The BlueTrend editorial team joined ATMOS on a visit to 海島瘋 Enjoy Islands on Panglao, Philippines,
embarking on a rare Christmas Eve dive trip to Pamilacan Island.
Along the way, we got to dive in Balicasag — a UN-recognized marine protected area (MPA) —
witness the breathtaking tornado of Jackfish,
and take part in activities including swimming with Whale Sharks, a riverside restaurant, tarsiers, the Chocolate Hills, ATV rides, and river firefly watching.
This trip proved that a dive trip doesn't have to be all about diving —
sometimes you slow down and let nature's gifts wash over you.

'Bali Tulamben', for example, suits AOW (OW divers, just ask us); while 'Maldives tiger shark diving' and 'Palau's high-current sites' strongly require AOW level and 50+ logged dives. If you're unsure whether your experience fits, contact us anytime and our instructors will give you a professional assessment.
Can I join as a solo diver? How is room arrangement handled?
Absolutely! Many of our travellers sign up solo and make like-minded dive buddies on the trip. For rooms, we prioritise pairing same-gender travellers; if you'd prefer a single room, you can upgrade by paying the difference.
Does the trip fee include dive insurance, gear rental, flights or instructor tips?
BlueTrend believes in transparent pricing. Our dive packages include professional underwater guiding, insurance on certain itineraries, and accommodation. Since every traveller’s departure point and gear needs differ, flights and gear rental are usually optional or self-arranged.
