Off to the Philippines for Some Island Diving!

After being cooped up for two years by the pandemic,
divers finally got to start planning their long-awaited overseas dive trips at the end of 2022.
But before anyone could set foot on a foreign island and enjoy a laid-back diving holiday,
there was the combination of being out of practice with international travel plus the uncertainty of the post-COVID era —
just how many unexpected silly mishaps were bound to happen along the way?

The BlueTrend editorial team joined ATMOS on a visit to Enjoy Islands on Panglao Island in the Philippines,
setting off on a rare Christmas Eve dive trip.
On this journey we had the chance to dive at Balicasag — a UN-recognized marine protected area (MPA) —
and witness the spectacular tornado of Jacks swirling around us.
The itinerary also included swimming with Whale Sharks, a riverside restaurant, tarsiers, the Chocolate Hills, ATV riding, and a firefly river cruise,
proving that dive travel doesn't have to be wall-to-wall diving.
It can also be a chance to slow down and rediscover your own rhythm in the post-COVID era.
