Taiwan Green Island International Underwater Photography Competition

The Taiwan Green Island International Underwater Photography Competition is being held from September 30, 2017 to August 31, 2018. Through the participation of divers from both Taiwan and abroad, the event aims to raise public awareness of the ocean, foster a love for the sea, and promote the correct concepts of marine conservation while elevating Green Island's international profile as a scuba diving destination. Inspired by the dramatic changes in marine ecosystems in recent years, the competition seeks to document the true state of Green Island's underwater ecology and environment through photography. As underwater recreational activities become increasingly popular, the organizers encourage participants to engage in safe and lawful underwater photography. All competition entries must be taken in the waters of Green Island, focusing attention on the unique natural gifts that Green Island diving has to offer — making underwater photography a pioneering record of Green Island's ocean world.
