The Cradle of Divers – Taiwan's Northeast Coast

Taiwan's Northeast Coast, affectionately known as the cradle of Taiwan's divers, is where countless divers have earned their very first certification each year — their ticket to getting up close with the ocean. While the Northeast Coast is commonly perceived as a training ground with poor visibility, its diving territory is in fact vast and diverse.

Spanning well-known sites such as Wanghaiqiang Bay, 82-5k, Longdong, Mao'ao Bay, and the Gongliao area, the underwater ecosystem here is remarkably rich. Its soft coral coverage and macro marine life have earned the Northeast Coast the nickname "macro paradise" from Marco, a professional underwater photographer known by his moniker Gold Medal Photographer. This time, we invited Gold Medal Photographer Marco to share with us just how vibrant and breathtaking the Northeast Coast looks through his camera lens!
